In Greek mythology, the Owl of Athena is seen as a symbol of knowledge, wisdom, courage, and strategy. These are attributes we seek to build in our ourselves, our classrooms, and our students. Through the centuries, scholars have understood that these qualities are best developed through collaboration and partnership with peers.
In this spirit, we have created the ATHENA initiative, a place on our website where JASON educators and role models can share new STEM resources and techniques, as well as tips to use existing JASON content in unexpected, novel ways.
We encourage you to share anything that you feel will build and support the community of JASON Learning educators. Simply email us your ideas and materials as an attachment or link to athena@jason.org.
